Briggs of Burton have been shortlisted for three major awards at the upcoming Made in the Midlands Awards held at the prestigious Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham. The awards will celebrate prominent manufacturers in the region, demonstrating their ambition to continue growing UK manufacturing alongside international markets.
Briggs have been shortlisted for the following categories :
- Export Award – This award is to recognise manufacturing companies who are demonstrating international presence, export growth and can provide evidence that exports are a large proportion of their overall sales in the last year.
- Sustainable Ethical Manufacturer – This award is for the company that has demonstrated the greatest commitment, though its products and processes, to forging a sustainable future for their company and region.
- Manufacturing Apprenticeship Training Scheme – This award will recognise manufacturers that have done the most to further their apprenticeship programme, training and upskilling of its overall team.
Last year, Briggs won the top prize of Manufacturer of the Year – Over £25m at the awards and were recognised for their rapid international growth in both delivering large scale engineering projects as well as the opening of new offices.
