Craft Brewers Conference 2024 – Highlights

We’ve had a productive couple of days at the Craft Brewers Conference 2024 in Las Vegas. Our colleagues from Briggs of Burton, DME Process Systems Ltd., and Ziemann Holvrieka have been busy networking and sharing our latest technologies around innovation, sustainability and R&D with our customers, partners, and suppliers. A standout moment was hosting an evening event at BrewDog Las Vegas, a great opportunity for team building and discussing how are building some of the most impressive breweries and distilleries around the globe helping them to craft some of the best beer and distilled spirits. We look forward to sharing more content soon. Watch this space!

Cheers to our team, Brewdog Las Vegas and our customers for making the show a success!

Briggs of Burton feature in Press and Journal

Briggs of Burton featured in The Press and Journal alongside Gareth Roberts at Organic Architects, Dawn Maskell director at Heriot-Watt University and Liz Fletcher at the Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Centre

Dr Scott Davies spoke to journalist Peter Ranscombe about brewers and distillers being the pioneers of biotechnology and how Briggs of Burton has a long history of supporting its customers by leveraging microorganisms to produce fermentation-based products. The article explores the potential for breweries and distilleries to consider the production of other fermentation-based products with their existing operations. Briggs has worked on many projects around the world, using its process engineering know-how and project delivery experience in engineering systems from propagating and growing yeast for distilled spirits, beer and bread production, to hygienically scaling up fermentation processes to producing liquid biofuels.

Reach out to the team if you want to discuss a project that involves a hygienic process system for the processing of yeast or bacteria across the food, alcoholic beverage, and life science sectors.

Community Sponsorship Days

In addition to these festive season donations, we continued to support and encourage our team members to take community sponsorship days, a Briggs initiative which allows our colleagues to use up to three days a year to help the community.

We’re excited to share Yuri and Ed’s stories:

Edward Gould, Global Technical Centre, Burton-Upon-Trent

Edward Gould opted to use his community sponsorship days for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in order to help facilitate collection box distribution across the area. He is a member of the British Legion and provides support to drop off and collect the poppy appeal boxes to enable collection of any donations.

I am one of hundreds of volunteer Poppy Appeal Organisers around the country organising the Poppy Appeal on the ground. All to continue to raise vital funds for the work of the Royal British Legion in providing a lifeline for serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. -Edward

Yuritzi Belen, Guadalajara, Briggs of Burton Mexico

We’re happy to share that Yuri’s community sponsorship day was a success.

The people and the children there were so happy for the donation! -Yuri

Yuri Belen applied to the community sponsorship for support of a local not for profit organisation that helps to support families in times of need. The program allowed for $500 USD to be donated in September in order to purchase food for their food bank. Find out more about what Nariz Roja do here.
